Portsmouth, RI ? Mildred ?Millie? N. Violette, 81, of 113 Cedar Avenue, Portsmouth, RI, died Sunday, November 18, 2007 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence, RI. She was the wife of the late Henry ?Tex? Violette for 53 years. Born in Fall River, MA on February 6, 1926, she was the daughter of the late John and Sophia Brooder Vincent.Mrs. Violette was a bookkeeper for 23 years at First National Stores, retiring in 1980. After First National she went on to work with her husband at Texs Antiques in Portsmouth. She is survived by her daughter Sharon L. MacFarlane of Portsmouth, RI, her brother John R. Vincent of Tiverton, RI, her sister Edna Lacob of Fall River, MA, her grandson Michael MacFarlane and his wife Leslie of Millstone Township, NJ and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Paul Violette. Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, November 21, 2007, at 9:00 am from the Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Anthony?s Church, 2836 East Main Road, Portsmouth. Burial will be in Pocassett Hill Cemetery in Tiverton.Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, November 20, 2007, from 4-8 in the funeral home.
