Buchanon a permanent guest of the hotel.?The Stevens Hotel, Chicago c1934 Middletown, RI - Millicent Regina Healey, 93, of 600 Valley Road, Middletown, RI, passed away peacefully at the St. Clare Home, Newport, RI, early Thursday morning, March 23, 2006. She was the former wife of Dr. Edwin J. Riley. Born in Providence, RI, on September 30, 1912, she was the daughter of the late James Peter and Millie Litchenberg Healey.Millicent was an active member of the Edward King House, Newport, RI, where she ran the gift shop, and she was a member of the St. Joseph?s Hospital Women?s Guild. Throughout her life, she she was an accomplished artist and interested in many forms of art, particularly, water colors. She attended Providence Schools and the Rhode Island School of Design. Millicent loved life in a passionate way. A great friend, she was considerate to all her friends and had great admiration for the staff at the John Clarke Retirement Center. Millicent was a Communicant of St. Mary?s Church in Newport. Her surviving children are sons, David E. Riley of Newport, RI , Fred R. Riley of Rockford, MI, and daughters Elaine Jones of Pascoag, RI, and Carol Ann Weiss of Bensalem, PA, two sisters, her identical twin Muriel Holloway of Warwick, RI, and Doris Meslin of Johnston, RI, nine grandchildren Matthew Riley, Michelle Grambush, Mark Jones, Jennifer Winn, Christine Jones, Susan, Anne and Taylor Riley, Devin Weiss, and five great grandchildren, Amanda and Romeo Riley, and Ryan, Matthew and Nicole Winn. She was also the mother of the late Edwin Jerome Riley, Paul Michael Riley and Edmond Owen Riley, and sister of the late Elaine Lovett, and the grandmother of the late Andrew Gannon Weiss.. Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, March 28, 2006, at 9:00 a.m. from the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Marys Church, Spring Street, Newport. Burial will be private.Calling hours will be held on Monday, March 27, 2006, from 4-7p.m. in the Memorial Funeral Home.
