PORTSMOUTH, RI - Millrena H. Picard, 99, of 333 Green End Avenue, Middletown, RI, formerly of Quaker Manor, Portsmouth, RI, died Wednesday, March 1, 2006, at Grand Islander Health Care Center, Middletown, RI. She was the wife of the late Roland Picard. Born in Fairhaven, MA on December 14, 1906, she was the daughter of the late William and Hannah Haslam Tootle. Mrs. Picard spent 20 years working as a domestic for the DeMenocal family on Nantucket. She is survived by her daughter Bertha Coleman of Portsmouth, RI, her grandchildren Doranne Ross, Karen Carpenter and Brian Picard all of Nantucket, MA, Elaine Sherman of Madison, NH, and Sue Menard of Marsten Mills, MA, her daughter in-law Doris Picard of Nantucket, MA, ten great grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Roland Picard, grandmother of the late Roland Picard Jr., mother in law of the late William Coleman, and the sister of nine siblings who preceded her in death. Her funeral will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2006, at 11:00am in the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport. Calling hours will be held from 10 ? 11:00am on the morning of the service.
