Modena E. King

PORTSMOUTH, RI - Modena E. Wentworth King, 88, of 7 North Drive, Portsmouth, RI died Friday, July 15, 2005at Newport Hospital, Newport, RI. She was the wife of the late Matthew Dunbar King. Born in South Orrington, Maine on December 13, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Arthur B and Sarah Symonds Wentworth.Mrs. King was a member of the Narragansett Bay Citizens Band Radio Club. Mrs. King enjoyed horseback riding and showing her champion Doberman?s. She is survived by four sons, Edgar Carlo of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Arthur and James Carlo of Vero Beach, Florida, and John Guilfoyle of Newport, R.I., Mrs. King was the mother of the late Thomas Carlo and sister of the late Arthur B. Wentworth. A Graveside service will be held Tuesday, July 19, 2005 at 11:00 am at Trinity Cemetery, East Main Road, Portsmouth.Calling hours will be held Tuesday morning from 9:30-10:30 am in the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport.Donations in her memory may be made to: Visiting Nurse Service Hospice, Bristol Newport Counties, 1184 East Main, Portsmouth, RI 02871
