Newport, RI - Monique Louise Loichot Keselica, 74, of 18 Madeline Drive, Newport, RI, died Saturday, June 3, 2006, at the Newport Hospital, Newport, RI. She was the wife of Michael Nicholas Keselica LCDR USN, Ret. Born in Paris, France, on March 4, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Georges and Bertha Deshayes Loichot.Mr. and Mrs. Keselica began their life together in 1956 when a young 3rd Class Petty Officer met a wonderful Parisian beauty. Their courtship was marked by many rendezvous at cafes on the Champs Elysses, where they conversed with a French/English Dictionary. Her passions were her husband, children, grandchildren, and great grandson, for whom she shared all her love and affection.?She was not only a mom, but a best friend-supportive, encouraging, and positive.??She was an angel on earth and is now an angel in heaven watching over the family she so loved.??She was like a loving sister to her sister in law and brother in law.?Monique will always be remembered by her family and friends who loved her, traveled with her, and were guests at her table in ?the best French restaurant in America.?As a friend to all ?She redoubleth joys, and cutteth griefs in half.? Keselica of Maryland, and Mark A. and his wife Colleen Spencer Keselica of Pennsylvania, six grandchildren Nicole Keselica of Washington, DC, Thomas and his wife Debbie Carr Keselica of Virginia, Noelle Keselica of Maryland, Veronica Keselica, Andrea Keselica, and Taylor Keselica all of Pennsylvania, and one greatgrandson Nathan Keselica of Virginia. She was also the sister of the late Arlette Kasintzeff and Jaques Loichot. Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, June 7, 2006, at 10:30 a.m. in the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport. Burial will be in St. Columbas Cemetery in Middletown.Calling hours will be held Tuesday, June 6, 2006, from 2-4 and 7-9 in the Memorial Funeral Home.
