Eugene Karol

Eugene Karol Jr. 78 of Newport, RI died unexpectedly on June 27, 2013 at Rhode Island Hospital. He was born in Providence, RI on October 18, 1934 he was the son of Eugene Karol and Loretta Karol also of Providence, RI.Mr Karol graduated from Classical High School in 1952, he then went on to University of Rhode Island with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He work many years for the federal government as a social security investigator and an administrative assistant to the Secratary of Health and Human Services.He was an avid baseball fan, a knowledgable stock market investor and loved to travel both in the states and overseas. He always had a broad smile to share with whomever he met, and loved to talk both politics and history.He is survived by his loving wife, Carol, of 52 years, 2 daughters, Christine Karol of Cocoa Beach, Fl and Lori Drake of Cumberland, Md, 2 grandchildren Amanda and Gregory, and 3 great grandchildren Robert, Thorsten and Nathaniel, also 1 brother John Karol and wife Caroline of Melbourne, Fl.
