Francis John Parente

Francis John Parente, Sr., age 85, of Middletown and Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., died Friday, November 23, 2012 at Heatherwood Nursing Center in Newport, RI. Mr. Parente was born May 11, 1927 in Providence, RI. He is the son of the late Dr. Angelo and the late Mary (Bennett) Parente. He was an active member of the Providence College Alumni Association. He is survived by his wife: Anna (Marcello) Parente , his daughter Gail. Frechette and her husband Paul of Lincoln, and three sons: Francis J. Parente, Jr. and his wife Denise of West Warwick,, James Parente and his wife Loreen of Smithfield, John Parente and his wife Linda of North Kingstown, he is also survived by his sister, Dolores Parente, and ten grandchildren, Jay and Bennett Frechette, Matthew, Andrew, Jonathan , Timothy, Michael, Alicia, Marci and Jessica Parente. Calling hours will be held on, Monday November 26, 2012 from 5- 8pm in the Hambly Funeral Home "Brick House", 30 Red Cross Ave Newport. The funeral will be held on Tuesday November 27, 2012 at 10 am in St. Marys Church, Spring Street Newport, RI Burial will be in St. Anns Cemetery, Cranston, RI.
