Middletown, RI - Robert J. Johnson, of Middletown, RI, died Monday, April 23, 2012 at Mass General Hospital, Boston, MA. He was the husband of Theresa (Pastor) Johnson. Born in Central Falls, RI, on May 27, 1939, he was the son of the late Albert Joseph and Mary (Czerwien) Johnson. Besides his wife of 27 years, he is survived by his children, Robert Johnson Jr. of East Greenwich, RI, Jason Johnson of Warwick, RI, Shane Johnson of Middletown, RI, Cindy Caruso of West Greenwich, RI, Karen Stepanian and Melody Stepanian of Warwick, RI, Mary Johnson of Pawtucket, RI, Patricia Stanford of Warwick, RI, and Danielle Mitchell of N. Providence, RI. He is also survived by his two sisters, Mary Lake of Bristol, RI and Theresa Rega of Johnston, RI and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Calling hours will be held on Friday, April 27, 2012 from 10am-12pm in the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, RIA graveside service will be held on Friday April 27, 2012 at 1:00PM in Highland Memorial Cemetery, 1 Rhode Island Avenue, Johnston, RI 02919.
