PORTSMOUTH - Robert Michael Byrd, 54, of Old Mill Lane, Portsmouth, RI, died Saturday, November 8, 2014 at Saint Annes Hospital in Fall River, MA. Born in Queens, NY on January 6, 2016, he was the son of Alice Alcock and the late Edward Byrd.Robert leaves behind his loving children, Ashley K. Byrd of Medford, NY and Ryan M. Byrd of Medford, NY. He is also survived by his siblings, James Byrd of Portsmouth, RI, Steven Byrd, Charles Byrd, Brian Byrd, William Byrd, Keith Byrd, and Kimberly Byrd Roush, his mother, Alice Millett and many nieces and nephews. He touched the lives of many with his thoughtful and positive attitude toward life and his everlasting faith. His gift of gab will never be forgotten. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, November 22, 2014 at 10 a.m. in St. Barnabas Church, 1697 East Main Road, Portsmouth, RI.
