Middletown - Anna Dorothy (Vieira) Rosa, 90, of Middletown, RI, died on Friday, February 15, 2013, at Newport Hospital. Born November 4, 1922, in Pawtucket, RI, she was the wife of the late Thomas Furtado Rosa. Mrs. Rosa was a member of the Newport Art Association and was an artist for them. She painted in oil and acrylics, as well as water colors. She is survived by her sons; Thomas Rosa and his wife Wanda Rosa of Lancaster, SC, and Kenneth Rosa and his wife Carol (Arruda) Rosa of Portsmouth, RI, five grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Edward Vieira, Herbert Vieira, and Mary Vieira. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, February 19, 2013, from 10-11am, in the Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth, RI. Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, February 19, 2013, at 11:00am, in the funeral home. Burial will take place following her service at the Newport Memorial Park, Middletown, RI.
