Eileen S. Anderson

Eileen S. Anderson, 72, of Middletown, RI died Saturday October 10, 2015 at Newport Hospital surrounded by family and friends after a battle with pancreatic cancer.Born June 5, 1943 in Newport, RI she was the daughter of the late Ernest J. and Lucy (Perry) Silvia.Besides her husband Charles of 52 years, she is survived by her children Charles Anderson and his wife Susy Camara of Middletown; Brian Anderson of Middletown, RI; Melissa Wordell and her husband Sidney of Little Compton, RI. She is survived by 8 grandchildren Brooke and Charlie Anderson, Brian and Shane Anderson, David, Ryan, Robert, and Katelyn Wordell and 6 great grandchildren Lela and Esme Allen, Jaxson Anderson and Jayda Barksdale, and Grace and Sidney Wordell. She also leaves her sister Beverly Reynolds, her husband William and their son Matt, of Middletown. She was preceded in death by her sister Elizabeth Harkrider.She retired from the purchasing department at the Newport Hospital in 2009 and spent her retirement days watching her great grandchildren, yard sale adventures with her daughter in law Susy, and going out on Friday nights with her best friends Joyce Reagan and Maryanne Sullivan. She also spent quality time with her dear cousin Pat Pina. She was a member of the Mosaic Club and Middletown Senior Center. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 from 4:00-7:00pm in the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 14 at 8:30am from the Memorial Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30am in Jesus Saviour Church, 509 Broadway, Newport. Burial will follow at St. Columba Cemetery, Brown's Lane, Middletown.Memorial Donations may be made to the St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
