Emeteria A. Roque, age 91, of Middletown died Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at Heatherwood Nursing and Subacute Center of Newport, RI. Mrs. Roque was born February 4, 1924 in Nueva Ecija, Phillipines. She was married to Delfin D. Roque who predeceased her on January 13, 2003.Mrs. Roque had worked at Forest Farm for several years. In her spare time, she loved sewing and gardening, whether it was flowers or vegetables. She also enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren.She is survived by two sons, Roland Roque and his wife Josena of Portsmouth, RI, and Ricardo Roque and his common law spouse Edna "Jing" Soriano of Cranston, RI, as well as two grandchildren, Timothy J. Roque and Christopher J. Roque.She was also predeceased by two sons, Dannie Roque and Paul Roque.Calling hours will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2015, from 4:00-7:00pm, at the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, RI.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Lucys Church, 909 West Main Road, Middletown, RI 02842.
