Eva D. (Little) Robinson, 83, of Newport died Thursday, January 21, 2016 at Village House Nursing Home of Newport, RI. She was the wife of James B. Robinson.Born on July 15, 1932 in Newport, RI, she was the daughter of the late Frednand Douglas and Beatrice (Murray) Little. Mrs. Robinson instructed families on low budgets as a Dietary Nutrition Aid at URI Corporate Extension. She loved flowers and floral arranging. She was a member of the Rhode Island Dahlia Society and the American Dahlia Society.Besides her husband of 36 years, she is survived by her children, Larry Douglas McKinney of Virginia, Christine McKinnon and her husband Charles of Miami, FL, Timothy Michael McKinney of Newport, RI and Jay Allen McKinney and his wife Patricia of Maryland, her step children, Rhonda M. Robinson and James Michael Robinson and his wife Krystal, her siblings Benjamin Little and his wife Julie, Doris Little, and George Gray, her nieces Wendy Little and Mary Berry, ten grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.She was the mother of the late Winston Carl McKinney. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, January 26, 2016, from 4-7pm in the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, RI.Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, January 27, 2016, at 11:00 AM in St. John The Evangelist, 61 Poplar Street, Newport, RI, Burial will follow at Island Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St. John The Evangelist Church Building Fund, 61 Poplar Street, Newport, RI, 02840.
