Geraldine M. Flynn

Geraldine M. Flynn, 79, of Anson Road Portsmouth, died on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at Charlton Memorial Hospital after a short illness. She is survived by her husband of nearly 56 years, John F. Flynn Jr. Geraldine was born December 15, 1933 in Fall River to William and Louise (Cerce) Medeiros. She grew up in Fall River and began a career as a young woman working in financial services. She married John Flynn on May 25, 1957 and they soon moved to Portsmouth and began a family. Geraldine was a dedicated wife and mother, she enjoyed spending time tending to her gardens, and was a voracious reader, often completing a book every day.Mrs. Flynn is survived by her husband John F. Flynn, Jr. of Portsmouth, her children and their spouses, Sean Flynn and his wife Barbara of New Bedford, MA, Michael Flynn and his companion John of Coventry, RI, and Patrick Flynn and his wife Diane of Portsmouth, as well as a sister Louise Arruda of Somerset, MA.
