Newport, RI - Loretta T. Wyatt, 83, of Newport, died Saturday, June 15, 2013, at the Village House Nursing Home Newport, RI.Born in Brooklyn, NY on April 26, 1930, she was the wife of the late Harvey L. Wyatt, and the daughter of the late Francis Pesola and Theresa (Chindemi) Pesola.A dedicated Navy wife and mother, Loretta worked in retail as the head cashier at the Warwick Shoppers World, and later at the Newport Hospital, before becoming the caretaker of Chateau Sur Mer on Bellevue Avenue from 1983-2000. She loved making ceramics and watching movies.She is survived by her daughter Theresa Wyatt of Newport, RI, her daughter Barbara Souto Newport, RI, her son Leonard Wyatt Westerly, RI, her son Thomas Wyatt and his wife Angela of Portsmouth, RI, granddaughter Melissa Spake of Savannah, GA, grandson Brad Souto of Las Vegas, NV, grandson Antonio Marconi of Middletown, RI, granddaughter Jennifer Marconi of New York, NY, and two brothers, Dominic Pesola and Anthony Pesola, both of New York.Her funeral will be held on Thursday, June 20, 2013, at 10:00a.m., in the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport.Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, June 19, 2013, from 6:00-8:00p.m., in the funeral home.Burial will be in Newport Memorial Park in Middletown.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimers Association, 245 Waterman Street, Suite 306, Providence, RI 02906.
