Muriel C. Mcintyre

Middletown, RI - Muriel C. Larson McIntyre, 90, of Middletown, RI, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 30, 2011 at the Village House in Newport. A private family memorial will be held in the future.She was born the daughter of the late Carl and Ellen Larson in Moultonbo-rough, NH and later spent her youth in Cambridge, MA. She married Russell J. McIntyre and after several moves around the Boston area she and her husband settled in Sharon, MA. She worked as an assistant to the school nurse in the Sharon, MA school system for a number of years. In 1986 she and her husband retired to Middletown, RI where for 25 years they enjoyed life by the ocean. She enjoyed visiting with family, especially her grandchildren with whom she had spent summers at the beach and drinking slushes.She is survived by her husband of 66 years, two daughters Janet McIntyre Cook and her husband Thomas of Middletown, RI; and Cynthia McIntrye Kron and her husband Charles of Fort Myers, FL. She was the proud grandmother of Jennifer Cook Dodd and Kaitlyn Cook Robertson. She is also survived by four great grandchildren, Owen and Graham Dodd, Ella and Cole Robertson, her daughter, Sandra McIntyre Lussier, wife of Omer Lussier preceded her in death as did her siblings Stanley Larson and Doris Larson Moses.
