Muriel Delores (Roberts) Pedro, 83, of Northford, CT died Saturday, January 26, 2013 at Masonic Healthcare in Wallingford, CT. She was the wife of the late Earl F. Pedro.Born on April 28, 1929 in Grimsby, England, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Margaret (McCann) Roberts. Muriel enjoyed baking and cooking for family and friends. She was best known for her delicious English tarts. She was an avid Boston Red Sox fan and never missed a game. Muriel's greatest joy came from spending time with her family and was often heard saying "Funny How Time Slips Away". She touched many lives with her kind words and smile and will be missed dearly.She is survived by her son Bryan Pedro and his wife Lori of Northford, CT, her daughters, Kathy Close and her husband Scott of Ijamsville, MD; Vicky Shaug and her husband Frank of Middletown, RI; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; her caregiver Jodi Narcisco and her loving, furry and best friend Winston.Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, January 30, 2013 from 4-8pm in the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, RI.
