Prudence Island, RI - Ndadja Nada Abrashoff Rinker, 97, entered into Eternal rest April 2nd at the Haven Health Center in Warren, RI. She was under the general care of Beacon Hospice. Born January 5, 1911 in Mount Union, Huntington County, Pennsylvania to Marie and Tasse Abrashoff, she was the second oldest of nine children, five boys and four girls, and is survived by one sister, Genoveva Parker of Anderson, Indiana. Her son, Gale S. Rinker, resides in Port Orange, Florida and her son Eugene C. Rinker, Jr., lives on Prudence Island, Rhode Island. She was predeceased by a daughter, Barbara Petrovich. She is also survived by two granddaughters, Donna OBrine of Florida and Linda Jovanelly of Pennsylvania, two grandsons, Jeffery Rinker of New York and Travis Rinker of Rhode Island; four great-grandsons, Michael OBrine, Chad Jovanelly, Kyle Rinker and Chase Rinker; three great-granddaughters, Nicole Lichtel, Christina Rinker and Miai Rinker; three great-great grandsons, Kai OBrine, Joshua Lichtel, and Jaden Jovanelly; two great-great granddaughters, Kiera OBrine and Anna Lyn Lichtel; and two sisters-in-law, Mary Abrashoff and Ethel Abrashoff, reside at State College, Pennsylvania and Akron, Ohio respectfully. After retiring from the Corporate Tax Division of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in Harrisburg, she spent her well deserved retirement years on Prudence Island and enjoyed the many summer visits of family over some thirty years. At her death, she was the Islands oldest resident. Funeral services will be private and a memorial service is being planned for in the summer.The family suggests a donation to Beacon Hospice, Inc., 1 Catamore Blvd., East Providence, RI. 02914, in Nadas name.
