Nancy Ann Roberts

Middletown, - Nancy A. Bettencourt Roberts, 58, of 1 Wood Road, Middletown, formerly of New Bedford, MA, died Saturday, November 16, 2002 at Miriam Hospital Providence, RI. She was the wife of James K. Roberts. Born in New Bedford, MA, on May 23, 1944, she was the daughter of Ann Bosworth Bettencourt of New Bedford, MA and the late John Bettencourt.Mrs. Roberts had worked as a Administrative Assistant at the Naval War College. Prior to that she worked at the Taber Street Nursing Home in New Bedford, MA. She was a 1962 graduate of New Bedford High School. She enjoyed cooking and spending her free time with her grandchildren. Besides her husband and mother she is survived by two sons Michael Silva of Berkley, MA, and David Silva of Benicia, CA, two daughters Mary-Beth Sylvia of Middletown, RI, and Jennifer Silva of Newport, RI, one sister Cynthia Silva of New Bedford, MA, a brother in law Edward Silva of New Bedford, MA, five grandchildren, a niece Erin Silva of Cambridge, MA and a nephew Matthew Silva of New Bedford, MA. Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, November 20, 2002 at 9:00am from the Memorial Funeral Home followed by a funeral service at 10:00 AM in the Evangelical Friends Church, 70 Bliss Mine Road, Middletown. Burial will be in Middletown Cemetery, Turner and Wyatt Road, Middletown. Donations may be made in her memory to American Kidney Fund, 6110 Executive Blvd., Suite 1010, Rockville, MD. Arrangements are by the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport.
