Nancy Ruth Pritchett

Nancy R. Pritchett, 76, of Lake Erie Street, Middletown, RI, passed away on Thursday, September 23, 2010 at home. She was the lifelong companion of Matthew Williams.Born in Tuscaloosa, AL on October 16, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Zimriah Brown, Sr. and Gena Ruth Fletcher Brown.She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, cooking and sewing.She is survived by her sister, Alpha Jean Carpenter of Newport, RI, her two brothers, William Brown of Alabama and Clarence Brown of California and preceded in death by her three brothers, Herbert, Joe and Zimriah Brown. Nancy also leaves seven children, Jimmy Pritchett of Denver, CO, Dorothy Johnson of California, Alpha LaFaye Richardson and Tyrone Pritchett of Tuscaloosa, AL, Jerome and Ray A. Pritchett of San Antonio, TX, and Matthew Pritchett of Newport, RI, twenty grandchildren, and many other friends and relatives.A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 30, 2010 at 11 am in Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, RI.
