Neal E. La Chance

Newport, RI - Neal La Chance, 31, of Newport, died Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at Rhode Island Hospital Providence, RI, from complications from an automobile accident. Born in Newport, RI on February 20, 1982, he was the son of Gordon F. and Nancy (Kelly) La Chance. Neal worked at the Speakeasy Restaurant and the Tennis Hall of Fame for many years and Astors Beachwood Manor House. He was an avid Car Guy, a champion basketball player and a very skilled auto mechanic. Neal was a caretaker for his grandfather for six year. He was always a hard worker and well liked in the community. Neal loved his family as well as his dear friends. He was a dear, kind, loving man who will be missed so much by all. Besides his parents he is survived by his sister Jacquelyn La Chance, his uncle's Kenneth Kelly and his wife Barbara A. Kelly, Paul Kelly and his wife Nancy Kelly, Robert La Chance and his wife Carol La Chance, and Leo E. La Chance, his grandfather Frederick M. Kelly and hte late Geraldine Kelly, his nieces Breyanna Andrea Baer, his nephew Brandon Neal La Chance all of Newport, RI, his dear cousins, Mark, Todd and Nicole La Chance, Bethany and Alicia Kelly, Megan, Katie and Christine Jones and numerous friends. Calling hours will be held Monday, October 14, 2013, from 10-1pm in the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, followed by his service at 1pm in the funeral home.
