Nicoletta Marie Morris

Warren, RI - Nicoletta Marie Grande Morris, 70, of 100 Arlington Avenue, Warren RI, died Sunday, March 25, 2012 at home with her family. She was the wife of Paul J. Morris. Born in Boston, MA on July 10, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Martha OBrien Grande.Nicoletta helped start the Womens Softball League in Newport in the early 1970s. She enjoyed playing bingo and spending time with her family, as well as making her own floral arrangements. She was a member of St. Mary of the Bay Church in Warren. Besides her husband of 50 years, she is also survived by her sons Paul Morris, Jr. of Warren, RI, David F. Morris of Bristol, RI, Phillip A. Morris of Warren, RI, and Timothy M. Morris and his wife Rebecca Clinton of Bristol, RI, as well as her brother Alexander Grande of Portsmouth, RI, and her sister Frances Camara of Newport, RI, five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.She was the sister of the late Lorraine Harris. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, March 31, 2012, from 9:00-11:00am, in the Memorial Funeral, 375 Broadway, Newport, RI. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at 11:00am in the funeral home. Burial will be private.
