Norma E. Clarke Stohlberg Newport, RI - Norma E. Clarke Stohlberg, 98, of 398 Bellevue Avenue, Newport, RI, formerly of 13 Brewer Street, Newport, died Sunday, August 24, 2008, at the Heatherwood Nursing and Subacute Center, Newport, RI. She was the wife of the late John Albert Stohlberg Sr. Born in Newport, RI, on June 4, 1910, she was the daughter of the late C. Leslie and Lydia Barlow Clarke.Mrs. Stohlberg was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Newport. She was also a member of the Vasa Club. She is survived by two sons Richard C Stohlberg of Squantum, MA, and John A Stohlberg, Jr. of Middletown, RI, two sisters Avis Bachus of Newport, RI, and Barbara Angel of Middletown, RI, four grandchildren Richard Stohlberg, Paula Stohlberg, David Stohlberg, and Deborah Stohlberg, and nine great grandchildren. She was also the sister of the late Frederick Clarke.Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, August 26, 2008, at 10:00 am in the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport. Burial will be in Island Cemetery in Newport.Calling hours will be held Tuesday morning, August 26, 2008, from 9-10 am in the Memorial Funeral Home.
