Norma Barton Tully, 77, of 100 Almeida Terrace Apt. #208 Portsmouth, formerly of 128 Jerrold Street , Holliston, MA, died Saturday, February 26, 2005 at Newport Hospital Newport, RI.She was the wife of the late Frank E. Tully. Born in Concord, NH on June 21, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Raymond Barton and Catherine O?Brien Barton Martinez. Mrs. Tully was a retail buyer for Filene?s Department Store in Boston until she moved from Boston to Holliston, MA, where she became a secretary to the principal of an elementary school. She then came to Portsmouth in 2000, where she loved to attend flea markets and also often participated with them in Charlestown, RI. Mrs. Tully was a former member of St. Marys Church of Holliston, MA and also attendend St. Anthonys Church in Portsmouth. She is survived by three sisters Raylene Bento and Claire Martinez both of Portsmouth, RI and Carole Glazier of Newport, RI.Her funeral will be held on Friday, March 4, 2005, at 9:00 AM from the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, with a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00 AM in St. Anthonys Church, 2836 East Main Road, Portsmouth. Burial will be in Portsmouth Cemetery in Portsmouth. Donations in her memory may be made to the Robert Potter League For Animals, PO Box 412, Newport, RI 02840.
