Norman E. Moss

Portsmouth, RI - Norman E. Moss, 78, of 106 Tallman Avenue Portsmouth, RI, died Friday, December 19, 2003 at Newport Hospital Newport, RI.He was the husband of Eleanor Raposa Moss. Born in Fall River, MA on October 30, 1925, he was the son of the late Arthur and Elizabeth Lamoureaux Moss. Mr. Moss was a finished carpenter for various contractors in Southern New England. He was in the United States Army during World War II, serving in Alaska. Mr. Moss enjoyed making things for his family and friends. As a young man he enjoyed Saltwater Cast Fishing. Besides his wife he is survived by his son Stephen Moss of Portsmouth, RI, his daughter Jo-Ann Jenkins of Portsmouth, RI, his granddaughter Stephanie Ossick of Newport, RI, his grandson Christopher Jenkins of Middletown, RI, and his sister Lorraine Ross of Swansea, MA.A Private graveside service was held. Donations in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 222 Richmond Street, Suite 200, Providence, RI 02903-4253 or to the Portsmouth Volunteer Fire Dpt. Rescue Wagon Fund, P.O. Box 806, Portsmouth, RI 02871. Arrangements were by the Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth.
