Olga Oliveira Lima, 74, of New Bedford, MA, died Thursday, May 31, 2012 at Miriam Hospital in Providence, RI. She was born in the City of Arrifes, the Island of Sao Miguel, Azores, Portugal on May 10, 1938. Olga was employed many years as a seamstress before her retirement. She had a love for gardening, music, and travel where she was able to admire and appreciate Gods beautiful work. She is known by many as a respectful and elegant soul who had nothing but kindness for others. Olga had a strong faith in God and was an active member of the Universal Church of Christ where she leaves behind many friends. She will be remembered as a giving and devoted mother, sister and friend. She was the daughter of the late Luis and Maria (Alves) Oliveira and survived by her children, Ruth Lima, Marilia Lima Pereira, Lisa Lima, Sonia Lima, and Edward Lima, Jr.; her sister, Clarinda Marshall; her son in law Rui Pereira: her grandson Ayden Pereira; and her nieces and nephews, Marguerite Marshall, Paul Marshall, Peter Marshall and Anita Marshall. She was the mother of the late Janete Lima. She had a love for life and she will be forever missed but always remembered.
