Middletown, RI - Otto Kurt Kraft, 56, of 6 Namquid Drive, Middletown, RI, died Saturday, April 15, 2006 at Miriam Hospital in Providence, R.I. He was the husband of Faith Hope Souza Kraft. Born in Mt. Clemens, MI on April 22, 1949, he was the son of the late Donald Benoit and Catherine Kunst Kraft.Mr. Kraft served in the United States Marine Corps as a Lance Corporal during Vietnam. He was a shipfitter at Electric Boat in North Kingstown, and managed the Newport Valet Service for the Sears family. He also worked at Ray Shell and Towing in Portsmouth and he worked part time for Bumpers in Middletown. Mr. Krfat was a member of the Tiverton Rod and Gun Club and enjoyed traveling out west to hunt and fish. He was a member of the bowling league at the Naval Underwater Warefare Center and he had attended St. Lucys Church in Middletown. Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughter Bethany Kraft of Middletown, RI, his brother Donald Kraft of Roseville, MI, and his sister Kay Marie Kraft of Roseville, MI. He is preceded in death by his daughter Megan Kraft and his sister Marylyn Kraft. His funeral will be held on Thursday, April 20, 2006, at 8:00 a.m. from the Memorial Funeral Home 375 Broadway, Newport, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 a.m. St. Lucys Church, 909 West Main Road, Middletown.Burial will be private.Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, April 19, 2006, from 7-9 pm in the Memorial Funeral Home.
