Patricia A. Leach

Newport, RI - Patricia A. Leach, 69, of Munford Manor, Newport, RI, died Sunday, September 12, 2010 at home. Born in Hartford, CT on July 26, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Elizabeth Barrison Hummel, after the loss of her mother, Patricia was raised by her aunt and uncle, Anna and Stanley Wierbicki of Colchester, CT.Patricia worked as a waitress at many local restaurants. She loved bingo and going to Foxwoods, Jai Ali and Mohegan Sun. Patricia was a loving mother, grandmother and friend. Her children were the light of her life and brought her true joy and happiness. Pat was loved by all who were lucky enough to know her. She will be greatly missed. She is survived by her children, Lawrence B. and his wife Lisa Doyer of Brewer, ME, Donna M and her husband Joseph OBrien of Portsmouth, RI, Steven B. and his wife Nichole Doyer of Standish, ME, Robert C. Doyer of Brewer, ME, Sandra A. Mitchell of Winterport, ME and Terrance W. Leach of Philadelphia, her sisters Bernice Rice of East Hartford, CT and Nancy Warren of Colchester, CT. Patricia also leaves seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.She was the grandmother of the late Taysia M. Doyer. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 16, 2010, at1:00 pm in Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport.
