Newport, RI - Patricia A. Beach OSullivan, 45, of 58 Halsey Street, Newport, RI, died Thursday, September 28, 2006 at home surrounded by her family. She was the wife of Michael Arthur OSullivan.Born in Norfolk, VA on July 9, 1961, she was the daughter of the Kyle H. Beach of Swansea, MA and Frostproof, FL and June Wilkerson Martins of Limestone, TN.Patti was a graduate of Rogers High School Class of 1979 and graduated at the top of her class from the Newport School of Nursing, Class of 1984. Upon graduation from Nursing School she went to work at Newport Hospital and later she joined the staff of the Occupational Health Department, where she was employed until her illness in November of 2005. In 2002 she received the Marguerite Ahern Graff Excellence Award for the highest score nationwide on the Occupational Health Nurses Certification Exam. In 2003 and 2004 Patti placed first in the Christmas in Newport Holiday Decorating and also won the Newport in Bloom ?Best Overall? in 2004.esides her husband, Patti is survived by her three children, sons Ryan Michael and Shayne Kyle and her daughter Jillian Christine all of Newport, her sister Jeannie L. Tyson of Newport, her brothers Kyle H. Beach Jr. of Newport, James Richard Beach of Limestone, TN, Jeff Gonsalves of Swansea, MA and Glen Gonsalves of Warren, RI, and her step mother L. Arlene Beach of Swansea, MA and Frostproof, FL.She was the step daughter of the late John Martins. Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, October 3, 2006, at 11:00am, in the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport. Burial will be private.Calling hours will be held on Monday, October 2, 2006, from 2-4 and 7-9 in the funeral home.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Patricia OSullivan Fund, c/o Newport Columbian Federal Credit Union, 7 Valley Road, Middletown, RI 02842.
