Patricia Crecca Coffin Newport, RI - Patricia CreccaCoffin, 72, of 5 Whitfield Place, Newport, formerly of Washington D.C., died Saturday, May 23, 2009 in Newport Hospital Born in Attleboro, MA on October 15, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Lillian Kittredge Crecca.Patricia worked for many years as a Director for the Park Holm, Tonomy Hill Day Care. She was a 1958 graduate of Salve Regina University. She was a docent for the Newport Preservation Society. Patricia enjoyed gardening and was a member of the Redwood Library. She is survived by her husband Jay A. Coffin of Newport. Patricia also leaves her sister Nancy A. Schaefer of Bethesda, MD, as well as her nieces Judith Axton of Parker, CO and Susan Schaefer of Eugene, OR, and her nephew Henry Schaefer of Frederick, MD. She leaves behind five great nieces and nephews Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 27, 2009 at 10:00am from the Memorial Funeral Home 375 Broadway, Newport, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:45am in St. Josephs Church, Broadway and Mann Avenue, Newport. Burial will be private.Calling hours will be held Wednesday morning from 9:00 to 10:00am in the funeral home.
