Patricia Grauer Chase

Patricia Grauer Chase, formerly of Newport passed away unexpectedly on May 9, 2011 in Grand Prairie, Texas. Patricia graduated from Rogers High School in 1974 and Rhode Island School of Photography in 1977. She worked managing the Dallas Morning News photography lab before enjoyed the freedom of a freelance photographer. She was born in Newport on September 16, 1955 to Margaret and William P. Grauer. She leaves behind two daughters, Ashley Chase and Jacqueline Chase of Grand Prairie, several brothers and sisters William Grauer of Long Island, James, Rosemary and Phillip Grauer of Newport, and Jean Anderson of Charlestown, MA along with many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held Wednesday, May 18 from 10:00-11:00am followed by a memorial service at 11:00 at Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, RI. Burial will follow in St. Columba Cemetery.In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Patricias memory to the American Diabetes Association, 222 Richmond Street, Suite 204, Providence, RI 02906.
