Newport, RI - Patricia N. Glazzard, 85, of Washington Street, Newport, RI, died Saturday, March 10, 2012, at Newport Hospital, Newport, RI. She was the wife of Malcom Glazzard.Born in London, England, on January 5, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Ada Hutchinson Chapman.A wonderful wife and mother, a business owner of a retail shop, PGs in Blackheath England. A world traveler, she loved to play cards Bridge at the King House in Newport. She had many interests at the Harbor House where she lived for many years.Besides her husband, she is survived by her two sons, Ian A. Glazzard of Bristol, RI, and Christopher M. Glazzard of Barrington, RI, her sister Joan Knight of England, and her grandchildren, Andrew W. Glazzard, Ada A. Glazzard, Liana Cuzcone, Chase Glazzard and Cole Glazzard.She is preceded in death by her son, Neil R. Glazzard.Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, March 14, 2012, from 5-8 in the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport.Her funeral will be held on Thursday, March 15, 2012, at 8am from the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9am in St. Marys Church, Spring Street, Newport.
