Patricia (Tremblay) Turner

Portsmouth, RI - Patricia (Tremblay) Turner, 74, of 35 Bradley Terrace, Portsmouth, RI, died Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at Newport Hospital, Newport, RI. She was the wife of Richard Turner. Born in New Bedford, MA on March 16, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Edna (Merdock) Tremblay. Patricia worked for the Newport School Department for 20 years, retiring in June of 2005. Upon graduating from the New Bedford Vocational High School in 1955, she went to work for the telephone company as an Operator. She looked forward to traveling in her retirement, enjoyed her luncheons with close friends, visiting her favorite Aunt Helen, and was a faithful friend and loving mother. Besides her husband of 51 years, she is survived by her two sons, Dwight Turner and his wife Barbra of Danbury, NH and Craig Turner and his wife Lisa of Burrillville, RI and her beloved cat Tai. She was the sister of the late Arthur Tremblay, Bernie Tremblay, and Lillian Tremblay. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, May 22, 2012, from 8am-9am in the Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Barnabas Church, 1697 East Main Road, Portsmouth.
