Patrick Lennahan

Patrick John Lennahan, 74, of Portsmouth, Rhode Island, died on March 18, 2025. He was the husband of Rebecca (Ayer) Lennahan.

Born in Japan on May 27, 1950, at the Itazuke Air base in Fukuoka, Japan. He was the son of Robert and Patricia (Manson) Lennahan.

Pat was an exceptional Career Counselor. He helped countless people find fulfillment and meaning in their working lives. He enjoyed working at colleges and universities, and his private practice in Portsmouth. Pat was an enthusiastic sailor, storyteller, teacher, confidant and animal lover, especially his beloved cats. He loved to cook and entertain with family and friends. Above all, he was a treasured son, brother, Husband, father and Grandfather.

Patrick is survived by his wife; Rebecca Lennahan, his children; David Dyer (Aki Inagaki), Michael Lennahan (Lauren), and Katherine Lennahan (Greg Hathaway), and his siblings; Michael Lennahan, and Kathleen Melnykevich. He will be missed by his grandchildren; Colin Yost, Nicholas Rabideau, Cameron Sleeper, William Lennahan, and Maggie Lennahan.

Patrick is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Patricia Lennahan; daughter, Jennifer Mason; and brother, Robert Lennahan.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at 11:00am at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 2679 East Main Rd., Portsmouth. Burial will immediately follow in St. Paul's Churchyard.
