Portsmouth, RI - Patrick M. Richards, 76, of 57 Mailcoach Road, Portsmouth, RI, died Tuesday, October 30, 2007 at Mass General Hospital, Boston, MA. He was the husband of Linda M. Poppe Richards. Born in New Castle, PA on January 29, 1931, he was the son of Rose Pacella Richards of New Castle, PA and the late Patsy Richards.Mr. Richards was an Electronic Service Technician for over 37 years for Sears and Roebuck. He also worked for over 30 years at the Newport Jazz and Folk festivals. He was a lifetime member of the Newport Elks Lodge 104, a member of the Newport Hospital Auxiliary and the American Legion. Patrick went on many cruises to Bermuda with his wife. He enjoyed long walks, gardening and he loved Aquidneck Island. Besides his wife of 29 years and his mother he is survived by his children, Patrick A. Richards and his wife Theresa of Fall River, MA, Robert A. Richards and his wife Carol of Sanford, FL, Cheryl A. Heber and her husband Craig of Longwood, FL, Sharon L. Langford and her husband Bruce of Sanford, FL, Barbara J. Richards of Longwood, FL, Kelly M. Singleton and her husband Robert of Portsmouth, RI and Jason M. Dunn and his wife Amy of Portsmouth, RI, twelve grandchildren, one great granddaughter, his sisters Frances Cimini of Boca Raton, FL, and Nancy Bonk of New Castle, PA, his brother Nicholas Richards of Oklahoma City, OK and several nieces and nephews. His funeral will be held on Friday, November 2, 2007, at 9:00 am from the Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Barnabas Church, 1697 East Main Road, Portsmouth. Burial will be in Trinity Cemetery in Portsmouth.Calling hours will be held on Thursday, November 1, 2007, from 4-8 in the funeral home.
