Paul Allen Murphy

Paul A. Murphy, 81, of Newport died Monday, March 9, 2015 at Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center of Providence, RI. Born on May 20, 1933 in Newport, RI, he was the son of the late Paul C. and Agnes Z. (Allen) Murphy. Paul was a lifelong resident of Newport, was a graduate of Rogers High School, and worked on the Naval Base at NETC, retiring in 1989. Paul loved spending summers at Newport Beach with family and friends. He liked watching local high school sporting events and was a New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox fan.He is survived by his sisters Kathy Allison of Newport, and Rosemary Bradley and her husband George of Portsmouth, and his nephews, Barry Allison of Alabama, George P. Bradley and his wife Marybeth and their son George R. Bradley of Warwick, RI, and his niece Nicole Bradley of Waltham, MA.Funeral services and burial will be private.
