Paul Lawrence Massey

Newport, RI - Paul Lawrence Massey, 60, of 25 Burnside Ave Newport, died Friday, March 19, 2004 at home. Born in Newport, RI on March 6, 1944, he was the son of the late Elva Massey. Mr. Massey was a member of the former Outer World Bowling League and was an avid darts player, active in many leagues and tournaments in Newport. Paul could always be found helping out the neighbors as a handyman or landscaper. He is survived by two sons Paul Massey Jr and Jody Massey both of New Bedford, MA, a brother Arthur Lenwood Massey of Newport, RI, two sisters Jane Elizabeth Massey Sheffield of Dorchester, MA, and Stacey Massey of Newport, RI, aunt Loretta Massey of Newport, RI with whom he lived, uncle Edward Massey of Newport, RI, uncle Harold Massey of Newport, RI, and aunt Floretta Sheffield of Mystic, CT, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. His is preceded in death by a daughter Crystal Massey.A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 27, 2004, at 1:00 PM in Community Baptist Church, 50 Dr. Marcus Wheatland Boulevard, Newport.
