MIDDLETOWN, RI - Paul Stephen Englefield, 24, of 26 Harbor Village Drive, Middletown, RI, died Saturday, January 28, 2006, at home.Born in Alexandria, VA, on December 26, 1981, he was the son of David and Patricia McIntosh Englefield of Middletown.Paul grew up in Woodbridge, VA. He had attended the Vaughan Elementary School from 1985-1991 and then the Godwin Middle School from 1991-1994. He then studied for his General Education Diploma. He then went on to the Potomac Academy of Hair Design in Manassas, VA, and graduated with honors in 1999. He then moved with his parents to Middletown in December of 2001. Since moving here, he worked as a free lance hair stylist. Paul was also a Board Certified Cosmetologist. He was a Communicant of St. Lucys Church in Middletown. While living in Woodbridge, he was a Communicant of the Holy Family Catholic Church, where he was a member of the choir, a youth ministry volunteer, and was a March For Life Volunteer. Also, while in Woodbridge, Paul had attended Christ Chapel, where he was a Woodbridge Life Chain Volunteer and a member of the Childrens and Youth Choir. From 1987-1992, Paul was on the gymnatics team for the Dale City Recreation Center. Paul also studied classical piano for several years. Paul loved to dance, listen to music and enjoyed to bake. He was an avid swimmer and loved to play volleyball.Besides his parents he is survived by two brothers Matthew and his wife Erica Englefield and Joshua and his wife Katie Englefield, a niece Michaela Rose Englefield, and a nephew Joseph Englefield all of Steubenfield, OH, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.He was the grandson of the late Frank and Mary Englefield and Robert and Beatrice McIntosh.His funeral will be held on Friday, February 3, 2006, at 8:00AM, from the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00AM, in St. Lucys Church, 909 West Main Road, Middletown.Burial will be in St. Columbas Cemetery in Middletown.Calling hours will be held on Thursday, February 2, 2006, from 4-7PM, in the funeral home.Memorial donations may be made to St. Lucys Hearth, 913 West Main Road, Middletown, RI, 02842.
