Pauline L. (St. Denis) Harris, 79, of Mare Terrace, Portsmouth, RI, died on Monday, September 9, 2013 at home.She was the wife of Daniel W. Harris, Jr.Born in Providence, RI on October 26, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Cecile (Guertin) St. Denis.Pauline was employed with the Portsmouth Public School Department for 10 years before retiring. She was an avid reader.In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, David Harris of Warren, RI and Thomas Harris of Dover, NH; two sisters, Muriel Genovese of New Jersey and Vivian Ouellette of Riverside, RI; three grandchildren, Timothy Harris of New Hampshire, Danielle Harris of Warren, RI and Abbie Harris of Warren, RI; and several nieces and nephews.Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, September 11, 2013 from 2-4 pm in Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth, RI.Her funeral will be held on Thursday, September 12, 2013 at 11 am from Connors Funeral Home with a Mass of Christian Burial at 12 noon in St. Barnabas Church, 1697 East Main Road, Portsmouth, RI.
