NEWPORT, RI - Pauline Lydia Lehman Williams, of 65 Potomac Road, Portsmouth, RI, formerly of Claremore, OK, died Saturday, December 10, 2005, at the Saint Clare Home, Newport, RI, at the age of 94. She was the wife of the late Paul Curtis Williams for sixty one years.Born in Edgerton, OH, on February 15, 1911, she was the daughter of the late Charles Henry and Lydia Krill Lehman.Mrs. Williams relocated from Claremore, OK to Portsmouth, RI in 2000.She was the mother of Phyllis Bloom and her husband Lester of Portsmouth, RI and Peggy Williams of Tulsa, OK and the sister of Ralph Lehman and the late Lester Lehman of Ohio.Mrs. Williams enjoyed her extended family of two grandchildren, Lauren Wallace and her husband Gordon of Wakefield, RI and Gregory Bloom and his wife Jennifer of Portsmouth, RI, and her four great-grandchildren, Abbey, Sarah, Jacob and Molly Brown.She was a graduate of Ohio State University in 1933 with a degree in Home Economics. She taught in the public schools before becoming an agent of the Home Extension program in the northwestern part of Ohio. As such she taught farm families faster, more efficient and up to date methods of food management. Mrs. Williams developed local 4H Clubs encouraging teenagers in family food preparation and preservation. As a homemaker she was involved in many church programs, traveled extensively with her husband and loved pursuing her hobbies of gardening, sewing and crafts.Mrs. Williams will be lovingly remembered by family and friends for her selfless love and devotion to the needs of others. Her deep and abiding faith combined with her quick happy wit made her a joy to be around and served as a true inspiration and challenge to everyone she encountered.Christian services and internment will be in Ohio.
