Born in Tiverton, RI on Sept 15, 1922 she was the daughter of the late John and Irene Borden Manchester.Mrs. Vars worked at Raytheon for 15 years.She leaves 2 sons John K. Vars of Narragansett Neal S. Vars of Newport3 daughters Carol A. Patenaude of Portsmouth Sharon M. Rebello of Bristol Debra L. Jackson of Portsmouth1 brother Carl Manchester of Fall River4 sisters Pearl Utchman of Fall River Sadie Fournier of Fall River Geraldine Ludwick of Las Vegas, NV Gertrude Kassab of Norfolk, VA8 Grandchildren, 6 Great Grandchildren and 1 great great grandsonShe was also the mother of the late Paul D. Vars and grandmother of the late Michael J. Fuller and great grandmother of the late Joseph Fox.She was sister of the late Jeanette Costa, Edna Tremble, Vernon Manchester, Melvin Manchester and John Manchester Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, April 17 at 11:00am in the Memorial Funeral Home 375 Broadway Newport. Burial will be in Middletown Cemetery Middletown, RI.
