Pauline Pritchard

Bristol, RI - Pauline Hattauer Pritchard, 86, of Bristol Woods Drive, Bristol, RI, died Tuesday, May 5, 2009 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence, RI.She was the wife of the late William Asher Pritchard. Born in New York City, NY on May 19, 1922, she was the daughter of the late George and Ruby Smith Hattauer. Mrs. Pritchard raised her family in Portsmouth and was very active with the Portsmouth Boosters Club. Once her children were grown she went to work as a secretary for Dolbashian, Chappell and Chase in Portsmouth until she moved to Chatham, MA and worked for a real estate office. Mrs. Pritchard moved back to Rhode Island and took up residence in Bristol and volunteered for Blithewold in the gift shop. She is survived by her sons William A. Pritchard, Jr. of Milwaukee, WI, Gary K. Pritchard of Barrington, RI and Paul E. Pritchard of Portsmouth, RI.She was the sister of the late Alice Donahue. Calling hours will be held on Friday, May 8, 2009, from 4-7 in the Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth.All other services are private at the familys request.
