Tiverton, RI - Perry F. Chace, Jr., 68, of 250 Pelletier Lane, Tiverton, RI, formerly of Portsmouth, RI, died Friday, June 24, 2005 at home. He was the husband of Claire Bernard Chace. Born in Newport, RI, on February 21, 1937, he was the son of the late Perry Francis and Esther E. Potter Chace. Mr. Chace was the owner and operator of Chace Associates of Portsmouth, RI, a tool manufacturing company, for many years, retiring in 2002. He was a Veteran of the US Army. Mr. Chace was a member of the Rhode Island Muzzleloaders Club of Rehoboth, MA, and the Cranberry Flywheelers. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and gardener. Besides his wife he is survived by three sons Grant E. Chace of Green, RI, Randolph P. Chace of Portsmouth, RI, and Michael Chace of Warren, RI, one daughter Tracy DeVeer of Richmond, VA, a step son Thomas Collard of Lakeville, MA, two step daughters Janelle Machado of Fall River, MA, and Claire Young of Lakeville, MA, a brother Ronald L. Chace of Portsmouth, RI, a sister Linda L. Frezza of Portsmouth, RI, five grandchildren, seven step grandchildren, and one great grandson. He was also the brother of the late Larry L. Chace. A remembrance ceremony will be held on Sunday, July 3, 2005, at 1:00PM, in the home of Linda Frezza at 42 Potomac Road, Portsmouth.
