Peter Alfred Blanchette

Portsmouth, - Peter Alfred Blanchette, 64, of 499 Park Avenue Portsmouth, died Saturday, November 6, 2004 at Newport Hospital Newport, RI. Born in Fall River, MA on May 6, 1940, he was the son of the late Alfred and Eileen M. Burns Blanchette.Mr. Blanchette was a United States Marine Corps Veteran, serving in the Vietnam and Korean Conflicts. He had worked at Electric Boat, Quonset Point as a Pipe Welder for twenty seven years, retiring in 2002. Mr. Blanchette enjoyed fishing, qhoaging and was an avid New England Patriots fan. He is survived by his son Randall Blanchette of Portsmouth, RI, three brothers Paul Blanchette of Northridge, OH, Richard Blanchette of Tiverton, RI, and Thomas Blanchette of Tiverton, RI, five sisters Janice Green of McDonald, OH, Nancy Goddard of Westport, MA, Mary Lou Aguiar of Swansea, MA, Susan Blanchette and Joanne Rogers both of Dartmouth, MA, and several nieces and nephews.Mr. Blanchette was the brother of the late David Blanchette, Carolyn Hathaway, Jane Dinucci, Patricia Ann Blanchette, Margaret Blanchette.Funeral Services and Burial will be private.In Lieu of Flowers donations in his memory may be made to the American Heart Association, New England Affiliate, 20 Speen Street, Framingham, MA01701-4688.
