Philip Francis Lydon

Newport, RI - Philip Francis Lydon, 73, of 34 Stockholm Street Newport, formerly of Jamestown, RI, died Sunday, August 22, 2004 at Rhode Island Hospital Providence, RI.Born in Watertown, MA on March 20, 1931, he was the son of the late Philip P. and Louise Herlihy Lydon. Mr. Lydon was the human relations director for Bic Corp retiring in 1993 after 21 years. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Lydon was an avid runner. He is survived by three sons Christopher P. Lydon of Cumberland, RI, Timothy F. Lydon of Breckenridge, CO, and Daniel P. Lydon of Brattleboro, VT, his daughter Elizabeth A. Lydon of Bronx, NY, three sisters Mary L. Micarelli of South Weymouth, MA, Barbara McNally of Warwick, RI, and Clair Floyd of Port Townsend, WA, and four grandchildren Patrick C. Lydon, Sean F. Lydon and Meghan E. Lydon of all of Cumberland, RI, and Odin G. Lydon of Brattleboro, VT. His funeral will be held on Friday, August 27, 2004, at 10:00 AM in St. Mark Church, 60 Narragansett Avenue, Jamestown. Burial will be in St. Marks Cemetery in Jamestown.
