Randall Sims, Sr

Randall Dusty Sims Sr., 75 of Roseart Terrace, Middletown passed away Friday, March 9, 2012 in St. Annes Hospital, Fall River.He was the husband of Elsa Guevara Sims.Born in Lake Providence, LA on January 5, 1937, he was the son of the late Junius and Rosa Waters SimsMr. Sims served in the Air Force as a Radar Technician. He attended the University of Nebraska and went onto receive his BS from Western State College of Engineering. Randall worked for Hughes Aircraft, Honeywell and retired as a Senior Systems Engineer from Raytheon. He enjoyed his memberships in the Masons and Elks.Besides his wife he leaves his children Cynthia Ingram and her husband Don of Dearborn, MI, Rhonda Bellflower of Nashville, TN, Joyce Hunter of Middletown and Randall Sims Jr. and his fianc Stephanie Moniz of Middletown. He was the brother of Pauline J. Booker and Delzora Harper both of Las Vegas, NV, Mary Louise Fields of Seattle, WA and Phillip Waters of Los Angeles. Randall was the grandfather of Shannon Bellflower, Kayla Mungin, Norelys Hunter and Julissa Hunter and great grandfather of Schulyer Star Alley.Calling hours will be held Friday, March 23 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 7:00pm to 9:00pm in the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, RI 02842.Funeral Services will be held Saturday, March 24 at 9:00am in Graceway Community Church, 215 Forest Avenue, Middletown, RI.Burial will take place in Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter, RI
