Raymond Cooper

Raymond Cooper, 71, of King Road, Tiverton, died peacefully on January 3, 2013 at home. Born March 15, 1941, in Warwick, he was a Tiverton resident since 2009 and previously resided in Bristol. Raymond will be missed by all of his friends and roommates, as well as his extended family of staff and caregivers. Ray was always very involved in the Special Olympics, and participated for many years. He used his energy and independent spirit to help others, and volunteered through groups such as the Aktion Club and The Solutions Group. Ray also reached out to the policy makers in the state as an advocate for independent rights. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at 11:00am in the Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth, RI 02871.
