Raymond Ephrem Pruneau, Sr. Middletown, - Raymond Ephrem Pruneau, Sr., 66, of 85 Maple Avenue, Middletown, formerly of Danbury, CT and Cape Cod, MA, died Friday, March 19, 2004 at Newport Hospital, Newport, RI. He was the husband of Anite Kovach Pruneau. Born in Quebec, Canada, on Jul. 27, 1937, he was the son of Yvette Roy Pruneau of Sherbrook, Quebec and the late Romeo Pruneau.Mr. Pruneau owned Pruneau Roofing Siding of Cape Cod. He was an avid golfer, hockey player and hunter.He was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Danbury, CT, and was a member of the Bass River Golf Club of Cape Cod. Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by five sons, John J. Pruneau of Washburn, ND, Raymond E. Pruneau Jr. of Middletown, RI, Stephen Pruneau of Middletown, RI, Adam M. Puneau of Cape Cod, MA, Brain P. Pruneau of Middletown, RI; six brothers, Roger V. Pruneau of Danbury, CT, Reginald Pruneau of Danbury, CT, Rejean Pruneau of Quebec, Robert Pruneau of Quebec, Richard Pruneau of Quebec, Mario Pruneau of Quebec; one sister, Rolande Turcotte of Quebec, and Nine Grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Reaal Pruneau. His funeral will be held Tuesday, March 23, at 8:00 PM in Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport. Burial will take place in Quebec.
