Newport, - Regina Ellen McCloud Scott, 92, of 398 Bellevue Avenue Newport, formerly of Middletown, RI and Middleton, MA, died Saturday, December 21, 2002 at Newport Hospital Newport, RI.She was the wife of the late Walter Courtney Scott. Born in Malden, MA on November 9, 1910, she was the daughter of the late Edward J. and Mary F. Howlett McLoud.Mrs. Scott was a member of the rosary sodality and a communicant of St. Agnes Church, in Middleton, MA. She was an avid reader and enjoyed playing scrabble, baking and animals. She is survived by her daughter Jane Sherman of Huntsville, AL, her granddaughter Sarah Rocha of West Warwick, RI and several nieces and nephews.She was the sister of the late Loren Thomas McCloud, Edward McCloud, James Gillman McCloud, Mary Lindner and Ethel LeBlanc. Funeral services are private.Burial will take place in Malden, MA.Arrangements are by the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport.
