Newport, RI - Regina M. Comeau Gerberville, 101, of 87 Kay Street, Newport, RI, died Saturday, September 1, 2007 at Grand Islander Health Care Center, Middletown, RI. She was the wife of the late Donato ?Daniel? Gerberville. Born in Lower Saulnierville, Nova Scotia, Canada, on October 19, 1905, she was the daughter of the late Jean and Julienne Moillet Comeau.Mrs. Gerberville worked in numerous positions well into her seventies. She was a personnel maid for Mrs. Betty Morris during the 1930?s and 1940?s. She worked in the knitting department of Leys Century Store during the 1950?s and 1960?s, after leaving Leys, she worked as a seamstress at DelNero?s cleaners for numerous years. She ended her long working career as a house mother at Salve Regina University in the 1970?s. Overall she had a wonderfully full life blessed with many friends and family. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be greatly missed by all her family and friends. She was a wonderful role model to both her grandchildren and great grandchildren who have many years of very fond memories of a loving nurturing woman who helped raise them. She leaves her son in law Donald O. Anderson of Newport and her grandchildren David O. Anderson, Daniel C. Anderson, Eric N. Anderson, Kristen A. Miner, Alysa A. Boyle and Taryn E. Anderson all of Newport and Robin D. Fleming of Portsmouth. She also leaves thirteen great grandchildren and one great-great grandson. She was the mother of the late Solveig Anderson and great grandmother of the late Emily Fleming.Graveside Services will be held Monday, September 10, 2007 at 11:00am in St. Columba Cemetery in Middletown.Calling hours are respectfully omitted.
